Majestic Hotel Restaurant - Weekend Buffet lunch

At $35++, it was quite a steal for weekend ala carte buffet lunch.

Cold Tofu with century egg topped with crab was clearly the surprise of the day. Cold tofu topped with creamy century egg, spring onions, tobiko and crab meat was a messy sight but leaves you wanting more.

We had some 15 items. Some honorable mentions include miso eggplant, black pepper with goose liver crabs, har kow (2 kinds) with scalop and prawn filling, soft shell crab with citrus and mango chutney, fried scallop dumplings.

Damn good chocolate cake.

Minor adjustments: I halfed the sugar - it was too sweet.

Got lazy instead of making ganache I just dusted it off with icing sugar.

Served with Bailey's Caramel and a scoop of Vanilla ice cream.

Company is the best way to beat the relationship blues. Even though he self proclaims himself to be the cutest guy around -> which is unsubstantiated proof but that's another story. But it is in good company where I feel the weight of my problems get lighter and sometimes my head. A good measure of alcohol and CHOCOLATE always brings out the better of my behavior.

I found some mee goreng in the fridge and spruced it up into an okonomiyaki with a little mirin, soy sauce, jap mayo and tomato sauce. Yummy

1 kilo - via SMSes

Friend: I forget to tell you something ytd, I went to weigh myself & found out that I haf actually gained a kilo :( Probably eaten too much liao. Guess I haf no choice but to jog doubley hard to shed the kilo away.

Me: It's ONE kilo only lor

Friend: It's a LOT lor. Many little kilos will add up to tonnes u noe (at this point I'm eye rolling) If possible I will like to donate some of my spare fats to you. See I'm so good to you leh. Heehee, so do you feel touched?

Me: You're sick! Unless you're a WAGYU grade (9) cow, I have no interest in your fats what so ever.
